ASEC 2010 is coming

In collaboration with CECAR 5 (Civil Engineering Conference in the Asian Region)
Sydney - August 9th and 10th 2010

ASEC 2008 is now complete and plans are now underway for ASEC 2010 in Sydney as part of CECAR 5.

ASEC 2008 was considered to be a great success, and included inspiring keynote speakers and a high standard of technical papers.  CECAR 5 will be publicised on www.cecar5.com.

There are remaining CD format proceedings available which can be purchased from Engineers Australia Victorian Division office by contacting Elizabeth McDonald at emcdonald@engineersaustralia.org.au or phone 03 9321 1707.

It is hoped that ASEC 2010 will have a similar format as ASEC 2008, consisting of a two day conference specifically directed at practicing structural engineers which will provide a time out for structural engineers to meet, share ideas, learn about new technologies and to broaden their technical skills.

It is hoped the conference will be supported by IStructE, IABSE, Australian Steel Institute, Concrete Institute of Australia and Galvanizer's Association of Australia support the conference.

ASEC 2010 has sponsorship opportunities for engineering service providers and allied structural engineering companies to present their goods to a captive audience.

I invite you to keep your diary free for two days in August 2010 at Sydney for ASEC 2010 at CECAR 5.

Greg Schofield
