ASEC 2008 provides a rare opportunity for suppliers to market their engineering goods and services directly to a captive group of prominent structural engineers.
The conference has specifically been directed at time deprived practicing structural engineers who are looking for a chance to renew their interests in structural engineering and for researchers to share their findings. Scheduled for two days in June, ASEC 2008 will provide a time out for structural engineers to meet, share ideas, and learn about new technologies and to broaden their technical skills.
The conference is supported by IStructE and IABSE and it is expected that apart from local engineers, international members of IStructE from Hong Kong and SESOC from New Zealand will attend.
The conference includes three plenary presentations where invited international and local speakers will share their experiences. The conference dinner, on Thursday evening, will provide an opportunity to socialise with colleagues and to listen to an entertaining presentation.
